One company lead by two women is making waves in Eastern Europe, Central Europe and Greece in the mobile marketing space. The company is called Out There Media.

Dinner with Giannis Gkantaras and Nicholas Zartaloudis from (probably) the best Greek Mobile Operator in the World

So, I started out my conversation with Giannis Gkantaras Section Manager at Cosmote Mobile Communications and Nicholas Zartaloudis 3rd Party Services and VAS Reporting person with “what was that really innovative mobile company in Greece that had that HUGE success with i-mode”.

I had a lovely dinner last night and I sat next to some great guys namely Michael Bayle from Yahoo! and two mobile operators (names and photos coming!) form Greece. Unfortunately for GoMo News I had my visibility mobile hat on - but we had a great night and a great chat.

Budapest mobile phone shops with Vodafone and O2

As we were walking to one of the most exclusive restaurants in Budapest last night for dinner. Markus Munkler Senior Manager of Industry Initiatives stopped and said, “you have to see this”.

We stopped at a tiny mobile phone shop with the cream of the crop in mobile phones in the window. I couldn’t resist taking a picture of the fine (mainly German) examples of quality mobile devices. The second picture is with Markus Munkler, Floriane Latulipe Mobile Advertising Product Manager from Telefonica Europe and Nachos (sorry can’t find business card for second name) from Telefonica Spain.

David Barker from Nokia gave a great presentation today at the MMA. As I mentioned in the past I am a huge fan of branded phones and I love the case study on Nokia Mobile Advertising in Brazil.

Arda Kertmelioglu gave a great presentation today on his business Mobilera.

Not everything grabbed me as brilliant –but one thing did. Basically it is a loyalty scheme for mobile. What Mobilera does is that it creates mobile loyalty schemes via mobile communities.

Mobile Marketing Association Conference Update

O.M.G. I am having a great day and I have heard some great presentations.  Write ups on Mobilera and Magyar Telecom and huge mobile barcode news to follow!  It also feels great as I know a lot of people but there are so many new faces from the Gulf and Eastern Europe.

But something else made my day.  Someone called me the Simon Cowell of mobile….

I love it! It has made my day!
