Samsung and Giorgio Armani team up for TV’s and Mobile Phones
Rating: Good Golly
If anyone remembers me from my Vienna days, they will know that I love designer clothes… but I am happy, willing and eager to mix my Gucci bag with Valentino sun glasses and Primark leggings.
My point is that I love fashion, I love clothes and new developments such as Samsung teaming up with Giorgio Armani to produce technology is down right scary.
Google considering UK network move
Rating: Voda who? iWhat?
By Tony Alton
Very interesting article from Rick Wray at the Guardian here on Google’s intentions to smash their way into the UK as a mobile network operator. If Apple can pull together some impressive marketing clout for the iPhone then imagine what the launch of a Google network and phone would entail, [...]
Mobile Kareoke company sticks two fingers up at Apple
Rating: You’re not singin’ anymore
By Tony Alton
Running full pelt with their tiny little teeth gnashing at Apple’s shins Revoice SIngtones made this rather hilarious swipe yesterday. Like a tiny fly buzzing round the groin region of a vast colossus they came out fighting, walking right up to Stevey Jobs at the bar and telling [...]
IDT Mobile prepaid mobile (another MVNO) on Orange in the Netherlands
Rating: hmmmmmm,
I saw an article in Telecompaper on this and did some digging and found the press release. Apparently IDT is yet another MVNO in the Netherlands (I think this makes it something like 30 now).
IDT Mobile is a SIM only PAYG service. International calls start at €0.10 per minute. National calls are €0.23 per minute, and SMS text messages are €0.10 per message, up to 160 characters.
What we think?
Is there still room for low cost voice services in the Netherlands the mobile market there is starting to reflect the credit card industry where users either have several credit cards or churn for the cheapest offer every six months.
Ask Mobile Search
Rating: seek and ye shall find
I saw this article on Ask and I took a quick look around the mobile site and its already changed. I reviewed the site in full earlier in the year in The Mobile Search Analyst and was less than impressed. But they have added a couple of nifty features to the search results to manage the search as an experience rather than just a result – which is looking OK.

Google Custom Search for business
strong>Rating: clean, simple… brace yourself
I might not be the biggest fan of Google in mobile; but everyone sit down. This might not happen again.
Google custom search (online) for business is the dogs *****.
I have tested it for a while but now am falling over myself as its greatest. I even feel like shouting “I am not worthy” but am holding myself back.
Sprint and Microsoft extend Mobile Search
Rating: why run when you can jump?
Motion Bridge/ Microsoft has been the mobile search provider on Sprint for some time now. On the 18th a new press release was pushing new mobile search innovations.
The Sprint mobile search can:
Search the entire web from local to maps to digital powered by one Live Search box
The search also uses built-in GBS to find local business and listings nearby. This allows the phone to identify their location to return nearby business results.
The third thing – which I think is the new bit is the ability to add-voice – speaking rather than typing when searching for information. (Part of the Tellme acquisition)

Many of you know that BKI Media and GoMo News are start-ups. Its been a whirlwind recently and there is a lot of interest in us. Yesterday, I got a few comments from clients asking why we have renamed Mobile Advertising and Marketing Analyst Mobile 2.0.
