Nokia/Symbian - Enough Hype!
Well that got your attention didn’t it! Don’t get me wrong, I think the announcement yesterday was good news. Symbian has needed to go Open Source for a while.
For one reason it can be a real pain to programme for. I know. I have hired developers, and good ones to do it and everything about [...]

Jonathan MacDonald from Blyk to OgilvyOne
Jonathan MacDonald (Senior Consultant Ogilvy) is a larger than life character. He is opinionated, talkative, fun and best of all very very nice. He is the guy that you would like to invite to a party and is pretty switched on about mobile advertising too.
I was going to compliment him on being a male version [...]
Charter agree to stop deployment of NebuAd - for now
In a decision that could affect the future ad revenue models for both the web and mobile Charter Communications, the US Cable company has suspended it’s NebuAd powered ad program over concerns for users privacy.

MVNO Blyk new advertiser Pot Noodle
Mindshare has created a new advertising campaign with mobile element for Pot Noodle. For those of you who don’t know: Pot Noodle is an English tradition. Mobile Advertising Claire Valoti MindShare Interactive Advertising Agency
I have been to several events where MindShare has presented, but always managed to have another meeting at the same time. So this was the first time I had seen the Agencies assault on mobile.
I have to say, I thought that it was realistic and interesting. First of all, Claire Valoti stated that her major [...]
Twitter funding and Google says Android is not delayed
Two articles from moconews this morning. Both on topics that might be interesting to our readers, but I don’t specifically write upon. Twitter funding and Google says Android is not delayed.
Tricia Duryee writes: Google’s (NSDQ: GOOG) Android platform is probably on time—that is, if you define “during the second-half of this year” as the very [...]
Symbian transformation to Open will take time
Rating: Legal and technical hurdles to overcome
The momentous news that Nokia intends to help transform Symbian into an open source OS has taken most observers – and plenty of affected employees, too – completely by surprise.
However, the open source code for the Symbian Foundation won’t be appearing on user group sites tomorrow.
It’s going to take [...]

So, I finally took a look and you know what - I liked it.
