Rating: cheap data, man

I turned on my 3 mobile phone today and up popped a promotion banner offering me 10 MB of data per month for GBP 2.50. This is the cheapest rate I have heard of in the UK. This is for “full access to Internet powered by Yahoo!”.

This is interesting. 3 has sorted of passed the buck for its off-portal experience to Yahoo! Its almost as if it’s offering a managed Internet service for GBP 2.50 per month for 10MB (contract or pay as you go).
Well anyway, we prefer this promotion to the so called “flat rate” that is capped at 1GB. At least consumers can check “My Usage” to see what they are consuming. The price is also great and trumps all rivals offers that boast GBP 1 or 2 for day access on PAYG.
