36 hot hours in Hamburg meeting mobile advertising gurus

Mobile in Hamburg, Cellity, Smaato and more!

I just spent 36 lovely hours in Hamburg and I have to say it must be Germany’s media capital. I was invited to an American BBQ but hot mobile advertising company Smaato. So I made the most of it and I had lunch with Sarik from Cellity (more in an article) and tea with Tina Kulow (in her fabulous new office). Then at the party itself I met the - who is who - of media and entertainment in Germany. Microsoft/Atlas people were everywhere as were mobile bankers, application developers, MMA in Germany, MoMo Hamburg people, Ad networks, media brands and some rock solid new start-ups (more after I have introduced them to some of my VC friends).

Basically, Hamburg rocked. In fact, I came home and wanted to go back again!

Am catching up today but over the weekend and when I am on my way to Ireland for the majority of next week – I will catch-up with pictures, news, hot people etc.
