AdMob adds search and upgrades campaign management interface
I thought I would share my AdMob Newsletter with you this morning. I tried to login as GoMo News -but I couldn’t and it was easier to create a new one. So I have just had a good look around it yikes.. AdMob looks a lot more professional than I can remember. I will set up a campaign for an iphone app and report back. The newsletter is below and I couldn’t find this new search yet, either.
We are pleased to inform you that your AdMob account has been upgraded to the new Campaign Management interface. The new interface introduces a number of improvements requested by our advertisers, including:
*The ability to create and copy campaigns, ad groups, and ads - to help you better organize and manage your ad campaigns
*An improved campaign creation flow to simplify ad targeting
*Increased control over budget allocation, including smoother spend throughout the day and campaign-level daily budgets with lower minimums
*New search capabilities and improved navigation for easier account management
*Enhanced reporting capabilities, including new campaign and ad group level metrics
As a part of this upgrade, a few things have happened automatically:
*Ads have been organized into campaigns. We suggest that you rename these campaigns based upon your advertising objectives. You can easily create additional campaigns as necessary. If you have ads that have been inactive six months or longer, you will find these ads within a campaign titled Inactive Ads. Should you desire to restart one of these long-term inactive ads, we suggest copying it into one of your active campaigns.
*Ad groups have been created based upon targeting criteria. Targeting selections and advertising goals are now indicated at the ad group level, which means that an iPhone app ad targeting the US and a mobile web ad targeting the UK would be in different ad groups.
*Campaign Daily Budget has been set. If you had previously set an account budget, your daily campaign budget has been set to this amount. If you had not previously set an account budget, your Campaign Daily Budget has been set automatically using either your current Account Balance or your largest per-day spend in the last 30 days. We recommend reviewing your Campaign Daily Budgets and editing as necessary.
*Ads with images will only be displaced on devices capable of displaying that image. This helps to ensure a positive end-user experience and maximize performance for those ads. If your ads currently include images and you would like to also reach users on devices that do not support images, you may want to consider also creating a mobile web ad with no images.
