Rating: ad tagging html widget?

by Bena Roberts

What comes after videos, blogs, RSS? Apparently its micro format synchronization that bridges the gap between print, digital and mobile.

What?

Microformat technology consists of HTML that can be read and stored or concealed in web pages. A company called MobiTMS has included this “Microformat” mobile reader service in its TMS advertising platform.

What?
Basically; it’s a kind of wedget that is triggered in to barcodes.

From the press release:
The TMS platform performs the synchronization of web and mobile formats for ads contents like videos, blog, or RSS feeds and now Microformats. This TMS service offers Advertising providers the ability to include Microformat in ads and offer the mobile user who receives the ads on their mobile phones to access, store and/or localize an address via a ‘Contact info- link associated to the Microformat element.

What we think?

I personally recommend this company to speak to my colleague Annie Turner for editorial guidelines before publishing any form of press release again.
MobiTMS offers a micro form of ad-tagging service that is embedded into media and can facilitate personalized information, advertising and help secure payments.
The company is offering a seamless platform from discovery to advertising to payment. We haven’t tested it but will be doing so shortly.
