apprupt to launch re-targeting on its mobile network at dmexco

Rating; Already has two ad clients – HRS & GETTINGS

At the forthcoming at dmexco 2011 show which claims to be Europe biggest digital marketing exposition, apprupt is launching a mobile re-targeting solution. The company has already landed two prestigious clients for the solution. These are HRS – Europe’s leading hotel portal; and GETTINGS- the location-based service provider. The company claims this new solution offers mobile advertisers a way of increasing the effectiveness of performance-based campaigns in the mobile internet space. The new targeting solution will allow app campaigns to be delivered more effectively within apprupt’s premium performance network.

As a first step, those users who already have an app installed on their handset will not be shown any further ads for the app.

As a second step, the usage of an app can be pushed directly by allowing the app display to be shown again to users who have the app already installed on their handsets.

With one click the user will then be directed to the already installed app, the relevant service will start, and the user can then avail of the service.

The new technology in apprupt’s mobile network can also be used to reach shopping basket drop-off customers, using specifically targeted ads for those products in which they showed an interest but did not proceed to buy.

“apprupt gives us the possibility of improving the performance of our mobile app campaigns and also of boosting hotel bookings through the HRS app,” commented Marco Hauprich, director of mobile & new Media with HRS.

Matthias Schenk, CSO with apprupt, observed, “”The fact that we are starting off with two clients as prestigious as HRS and GETTINGS shows how rapidly the demand for progressive targeting solutions in the mobile sector is increasing.”

As well as re-targeting there are further targeting options available from apprupt – such as geo-, device- or time-targeting.

apprupt claims to have the first premium performance network for mobile in-content ads through its network of premium publishers.

It can therefore provide advertising companies with specifically targeted solutions for context-driven mobile advertising and lead generation.
