ScreenTonic, Europe’s pioneer in mobile advertising, has announced an agreement with Belgium’s mobile phone operators Mobistar and Proximus.
ScreenTonic will set up the first advertising offer on the PlazZza mobile search engine and manage and deliver mobile ads with its STAMP platform.
Proximus and Mobistar are Belgium’s two largest operators and among the first in Europe to offer advertisers ad space on mobile phones.
STAMP is designed for managing and delivering ads on mobile phones and already broadcasts ads over the Orange World portal in the UK, as well as several independent mobile sites.
Didier Kuhn, CEO of ScreenTonic, commented, “Less than a year ago, we were announcing our European expansion. Today, the success of our recently opened UK subsidiary and the formation of a dedicated Belgium team underlines the acceleration of our development in the international arena.”
Orange UK has played its cards close to its chest concerning the success (or
otherwise) of adding ads to it Orange World portal, although BKI Media will know more next week after founder Bena Roberts has had the chance to squeeze information out of senior Orange executives in the Orlando Orange Developer Conference, Florida (where else?).
As the big advertising agencies start to rev up for mobile advertising, well get interested anyway ScreenTonic could be swallowed up by one of them soon.
