Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230 lands on Verizon customers

Verizon announced it’s latest device today – the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230. The 3G flip device from RIM will be launched on the Verizon network on June 19.

Key features? Well, it’s a Blackberry. A tiny, portable, flip BlackBerry. Which is awesome. It’s a nice wee machine – it’s got a decent 2MP camera, a QWERTY keyboard, full multimedia support and microSD support. And of course it’s got a range of connectivity options, coupled with mobile browser, BlackBerry App world and pre-loaded connections to the more popular social networking services.

The phone comes with a 70 dollar rebate on a debit card… which, added to the 130 dollars price tag, will give you a 200 dollar hole in your finances if you want one of these.

What we think?

This is a really sexy little device. It’s a full Blackberry in a slick, flip body – it’s been available on the Alltel network for a while now, and the positive reaction it got over there has made Verizon-based Blackberry fans very happy to get this new.
