Bluetooth should make mobile marketeers smile

Qwikker is offering free content for all those with Bluetooth phones at CES in Las Vegas and thousands of dollars worth of prizes to winners of The Bluetooth Trivia Challenge. The plan is for consumers and operators to understand how cool and cost-effective Bluetooth can be in mobile marketing.
The music on offer at CES includes tracks from InGrooves artists Scissors for Lefty, Bigg Steele and Thomas Lunch, among others. Exclusive Bluetooth branded wallpapers are on offer plus punters can win thousands of dollars worth of prizes through the Bluetooth Trivia Challenge.
The plan is to highlight the fact that in 2006, Qwikker’s network delivered more than 500,000 pieces of mobile content and achieved a gob-smacking average 30% opt-in for campaigns across the network by delivering content to mobiles, free of charge via Bluetooth.
Qwikker’s proximity-based content delivery mechanism goes beyond the pushing single items of content to mobile users, it enables brands (primarily from music, film and retail) to put a branded channel service on the consumer’s handset after they opt in.
You might not be hankering after a Burton snowboard jacket (one of the prizes on offer at CES), but mobile marketeers should get their skates on concerning Bluetooth.
