Rating: another mobile social network coming to the UK?

I just got briefed on BuzzCity.

Who?
Yes, that is what I thought. But the company is based in Singapore and has two million subscribers in Asia.

Its now coming to Europe and things it can make a killing by targeting blue collar workers that might not have a PC or Facebook but just a mobile phone.

The main focus on the international scene is a B2C mobile community called myGamma – which is an international wireless networking community with paid membership – aimed at young adults. myGamma currently gets 400,000 unique visitors.

What we think?
It sounds interesting. Tough. But interesting. The market segment is unique and if marketing virally on mobile only – it could be promising. But the blue collar workforce is huge and getting the marketing right will be a challenge.
