I just saw this from GigaOm via Techmeme and my first thoughts are what a shame. I am sorry for the company. Mercora had pitched to me a couple of times and I thought that the idea was great.

But music, search, music discovery is a hot space that will only get hotter -but the company with the deepest pockets will win.
