Carnival of the Mobilists 123 at GoMo News

This is my first ever carnival so please bear with me as its a bank holiday in Germany and very very hot so am doing this in my garden, smelling bbq smoke and listening to kids playing.

Yikes, there is a lot of reading and cutting and pasting and things involved in CoM that I had never noticed before, but my initial thoughts on hosting the GoMo first carnival is that the quality of blogging is extremely high. I personally don’t have enough time to read that many blogs apart from those that are specific to mobile search, mobile advertising and mobile barcodes.

I missed Jamie Wells from Mango Mobile in the first draft - so I will start with his very interesting post on Mobile Search and Android here: http://mobilestance.com/2008/05/11/google-mobile-search-android-key-benifactors-in-sprint-clearwire-wimax-mega-deal/

So first up the very very lovely Paul Ruppert at Mobile Point Viewsubmission this week covers the significance of Japan’s Softbank’s $430 million investment into the Chinese clone of Facebook: Xiaonei.com

Then we have Igor Faletski (great name and one of my favourite posts) talking about presentation and gathering of real-world META-Data on mobile:

Barbara Ballard and her post on Nuance made me giggle
http://www.littlespringsdesign.com/blog/blog/2008/05/02/voice-services/

as she mentioned that Nuance wasn’t known to well in the Blogosphere - but GoMo News write on Nuance all the time - but great links anyway.

Michael Macefrom the blog Mobile Opportunity gives us all a lesson on WiMAX here http://mobileopportunity.blogspot.com/2008/05/wimax-gets-closer-and-further-away-at.html

Peggy Salz (I am sure the Ann or Anne is missing from the email address) whom I enjoyed inviting on the GoMo News on Wheels bus at CTIA and drinking of glass of Champagne with: writes a post quite a long post on Admob.

I am also submitting a post from my secondary blog focused on Mobile SEO News and dynamic new agency business Mobile Seo Newson How to set up a mobile advertising campaign with brand new company Mo’Jiva - http://pushingthebarrier.typepad.com/mobileseo/2008/05/mojiva-mobile-a.html
Andrew Grill (from new blog London Calling) who wrote some lovely things about me recently also wrote his on blurb for CoM - which I really really appreciate (but haven’t used) talks about Nokia Interactive (who I had drinks with last week - oh and the week before that I think!)

Blog post at http://www.andrewgrill.com/blog/index.php/2008/05/mobile-application-of-the-week-nokia-headlines/

Yikes - we must be nearly there now - my BBQ is getting hot!

Yes the last iPhone realated (very good post) on CoM comes from Skydeck’s Jason Devitt - : http://skydeck.com/blog/mobilemarket/will-the-next-iphone-be-subsidized/

OMG. Is that it - well listen - I hope I have done a good job. I am not sure if I was supposed to have a winner - but I can’t choose as they are all good. Thanks and the next CoM is at: http://www.symbiano-tek.com/
