iphone-green-eco-friendly-mulch-biodegradableTwo companies I’ve met so far at Mobile World Congress have been touting eco-friendly, biodegradable products for mobile phones. The first is an Irish iPhone-accessory company called Jivo Technology, and the second was UK-based Santok.

Rating: GSMA backs single API to mobile network resources

Most developer initiatives are web-centric but OneAPI aims to get around this by providing a single set of APIs which will work across multiple operators’ networks. The APIs will expose mobile-centric facilities such as payment, messaging (text/MMS) and location.

picture-11The MobileMonday “DemoNight@M-days” event was hosted by M-Days and MobileMonday Munich on last week, on Thursday, January 28th. It provided a platform for 7 (out of 23) selected companies to present their apps and/or business models in a 5 minute “elevator pitch” presentation. The winner was determined by applause!

Bei der MobileMonday DemoNight@M-days, einer gemeinsamen Veranstaltung der M-Days und von MobileMonday München am Donnerstag, den 28.1., hatten die Vertreter von 7 vom Veranstalter (aus 23 eingereichten Bewerbungen) vorausgewählten Unternehmen Gelegenheit, ihre Applikationen bzw. Geschäftsmodelle in 6-Minuten Live-Präsentationen auf der Messe-Bühne vorzustellen. Der Sieger wurde dabei vom Publikum durch die Intensität des Applaus gekürt.
