Posted by Cian on Nov 24, 2009 1:04

picture-66This is a great example of an application that is interfacing with the real world in an original way. Phonesheet is a niche service that has been finding a lot of customers - the basic idea of the service is to become a replacement in those places that still use pen and paper to keep track of phone messages. CEO and Founder Jan Zandz gave a demonstration of the service.

picture-4The last person I interviewed at the Mobile Marketing Forum in LA this week, Bob Walczak of Ringleader Digital, was a very patient man. Thanks to those unavoidable delays that happen at conferences, I ended up being almost 20 mins late for our meeting. Thanks for waiting Bob! Ringleader Digital is very focused on something that is extremely important for the growth of mobile marketing: getting better metrics.

international-money-transferAt the the Under The Radar conference near San Francisco today, there have been some really great mobile finance start-ups pitching to the crowd. For those who love mobile payments and m-commerce as much as I do, you’ll be interested in hearing the cheap, international money transfer service being launched by m-Via. There was a panel of expert judges on hand to grill m-Via CEO Bill Baryhar as he pitched the service, and I’ve included some of their pertinent questions here.

The present and future of mobile advertising - according to the carriers

Posted by Cian on Nov 18, 2009 22:24

mobile-operatorsThe panel I was most interested in attending at MMF was the carrier panel. At conferences you usually get a few network representatives attending, but rarely more than one or two on stage at any one time. But this was a panel entirely constructed from networks! Verizon, Cricket, Sprint and AT&T took the stage and told us what they think about the current play of mobile advertising, and what they’re planning for the future.
