Orange offers a smile when you least expect it advertising campaign

orange-logo Orange has today launched a multi-million pound advertising campaign to promote Orange Bright Top Ups, the latest benefit for Pay As You Go customers who have a one in three chance to instantly win a prize whenever they top up. Orange will run its first Bright Top Ups television advert from 20th July until 23rd August on all commercial terrestrial and satellite channels in the UK. The advertising campaign will also run in print and outdoor throughout July, appearing across the London underground, ATMs, shopping malls and petrol stations. Continue reading

Scanbuy launches single mobile barcode solution for three operators at once

scanbuy Scanbuy has had one hell of a week. On Tuesday we reported on ScanLife coming pre-loaded on Samsung devices in the States. And today Scanbuy has revealed that it is creating a mobile barcode solution for three different mobile operators in Spain. The “Bidi” barcode solution is “interoperable”. It was launched first in France last week, and Orange has announced the next markets to see it will be Switzerland and Romania. Orange seems particularly pleased about this “pan-European” launch. Orange, official sponsors last week’s Glastonbury Festival, today reveals that Lady Gaga and The Specials hit the right note among Glastonbury festival-goers, with call volumes peaking between 9 and 10pm last Friday night when both acts were on stage. Rather than avoid making or receiving calls during live acts, call and SMS volume figures from the weekend indicate that, if anything, crowds were phoning friends and families during live gigs to share their Glastonbury experiences.
