Juliette Lewis plays the leading role in a new film created by Orange Film Studios - a re-envisioned version of martial arts film Fist of Fury. Lewis follows Emilio Estevez who starred in the first advert of the series, created by Fallon earlier this year. The Gold Spots continue to remind people to turn off their mobile phones in cinemas.

OnAir in-flight mobile services allowed by Vodafone and Orange

In-flight mobile provider OnAir can now operate on the networks of all four of the UKs big carriers, after Vodafone and Orange granted permission. The company, which enables mobile phone calls to be made from planes while they’re in the air, was already operating with O2 and T-Mobile.

The recession is nigh in the UK -but mobile operators are ready. Orange has launched its first ever GBP 5 per month mobile monthly tariff plan. This is its lowest Pay Monthly plan on the market available on an 18 month contract.

Orange Romania has announced its new “Home&Office Pack” tariff. The deal offers unlimited calls between your fixed line and up to 50 Orange mobile numbers. Orange’s Business Everywhere mobile broadband plan has seen it’s price cut down to £7.50 a month. The operator announced today that customers who sign on between the start of May and the end of July will get the discount. For that, small and medium businesses get unlimited mobile broadband access.

A strange press release came out of Paris yesterday. It was called Orange sets mobile Internet access free. Yikes, with a title like that I imagined a list of stellar tariffs encouraging uptake.

Thanks to a recent “profit warning” from T-Mobile UK, parent company Deutsche Telekom is being pressured to decide whether or not to sell the underperforming unit. The pressure is coming from Deutsche Telekom’s two main shareholders - one of which is the German government, the other a private quity group called Blackstone.
