Cellity address book 2.0 comes to blau.de
Cellity and blau Mobilfunk GmbH are cooperating to give both companies better offers for their customers. Address book 2.0 stores and updates contact data from different sources (like Outlook, Twitter, and social networks) in one secure place. This deal allows blau.de customers to access cellity features with low blau.de tariffs in place.
From the release:
Sarik Weber, member of the Executive Board and co-founder of cellity AG, says: “With blau Mobilfunk GmbH we have found a distinguished partner with a high profile as a discount cell phone service provider. We can therefor continue to offer our users reasonable tariffs and at the same time we can satisfy blau.de customers with the address book 2.0 feature as a central connection point of communication.”
“Through the cooperation with cellity AG we not only benefit from access to an innovative platform, but this also opens up synergies between low-priced mobile communication and communication management “, said Martin Ostermayer, CEO of blau Mobilfunk GmbH.
What we think?
blau Mobilfunk has a history of lowering tariffs in Germany. While cellity is certainly useful for networking and fast communication, I can’t really see where it’ll help keep prices down a huge amount. As both companies are using phrases like “high profile” and “synergies”, this deal does strike me as more of a mutual advertisement effort. No that there’s anything wrong with that!
