Rating: licences are out

By Annie Turner

Celltick is assuming responsibility for raising revenues of Vodafone Essar’s FLASH! service in India by managing all aspects of the underlying platform including editorial content, programming and content alliances.  Just to complete the circle, FLASH! is powered by Celltick’s LiveScreen Media.

Using cell broadcast technology, LiveScreen Media streams interactive teaser messages simultaneously to millions of mobile idle-screens.

Stephen Dunford, CEO of Celltick told GoMo News, “Celltick has transitioned to a new business model this year, to offered managed services instead of a licensed business platform.”

It will take 20% of the ad revenue and has partnered India’s biggest content provider, Rediff, to help it pique users’ interest and help them take that all important step towards interaction with the advertiser.

Analysis of Celltick’s new business model and its implications will be available in the forthcoming issue of Mobile 2.0 Analyst.
