Rating: will it deliver value, not just numbers?

By Annie Turner

Contec Innovations has signed an agreement with AdMob to provide mobile ads for delivery through BUZmob, Contec’s mobile publishing service. BUZmob provides news agencies, media companies, blog platforms and social networks with a simple, web-based solution for mobilising and delivering content to mobile users on any device, on any network, anywhere.

According to the press release:

BUZmob enables web publishers to become mobile publishers in minutes. In doing so it enables mobile advertisers to place more ads with more publishers. Together with AdMob, Contec provides its publishers with mobile monetization services, transforming mobile publishing from an expense to a revenue opportunity. AdMob serves over one billion ad impressions per month, bringing together over 2,000 mobile web site publishers with hundreds of brand and direct response advertisers.

We have reservations about the AdMob model, as reported in this story. With help from AdMob we’re working on improving our results and getting much better value for our money. We’ll report, in depth, on our findings in the September issue of Mobile 2.0 Analyst (the new name for the Mobile Advertising & Marketing Analyst, to be published on 19th of the month, as usual.
