CTIA: Mobile Video takes an early lead in visibility followed by mobile advertising

Mobile video is the spring chicken of CTIA

The day before CTIA conference is about to start and already my inbox is full of mobile video services and the triggering of mobile advertising in to these services. Mobile Video is unquestionably going to be the leader in the new up and coming services at CTIA and hot on the buzz list.

Not only did Veveo launch a new feed vide search service – mywaves is announcing a deal with MTV. This is hot as MTV does not usually license third party content.

BUT – not only that MTV will sell advertising on mywaves in a revenue share agreement where I think that the most of the inventory (not all) will come from MTV. So if MTV uses it own inventory it owns the deal and if mywaves uses its sales team to get a deal then it will manage the service.

This sounds like video TV similar to what MTV pioneered on the TV is coming to mobile.  For that a lot of the adverts and wrestling were for MTV own branded shows and events. But this could be huge for mywaves as an ad partner and a great way of raising the bar on the company if it manages to shore up a good few advertising brands for the service too.
