There’s a list of specs as well as some pictures
Somebody working for 91Mobiles.com in India has leaked details of what seems to be an Apple smartwatch – codenamed the iWatch, to GoMo News. The author has described the information as “a concept watch”. We suspect, however, that the source is trying to be a bit too subtle. The leaked email came with two images (suitably emblazoned with the 91Mobiles.com logo, of course) purporting to show what the iWatch will look like. If it ever emerges, of course. We strongly suspect that there might be an element of chagrin in the timing of this leak, given that it coincides neatly as it does with Apple’s largely unexpected news – the launch of the new iPad mini and iPad Air.
Was the leak caused by engineers who had thought their work on the long-rumoured Apple smartwatch/phone would finally see the light of day and anger when it didn’t launch the product alongside two new tablets?
This would be, of course, an excellent way of getting around the limitations of a smartwatch’s own screen or even a foldable shirt cuff screen as has been rumoured to be feasible.
We’ve printed the so-called leaked specification below. The one bit we really don’t believe is the ten days standby time.
Since battery problems are the greatest obstacle to smartwatches, of course.
