Dinner with Rudy De Waele dotopen and m-trends
My mother told me to be careful who I met online. She said, they were all crazed killers. I am delighted to inform you that I met Rudy De Waele online and he is not a crazy killer. Instead he is a lovely down to earth, kind and fun guy. He is in the same league as Big Friendly Giant Russell Buckley (who I want to thank for all the advice and help he gave me recently).
But what I should mention is that Rudy completely surprised me. I didn’t realise half of what he does and how successful he is. I know him from the MoMo Barcelona Community. But in fact he has his own start-up consultancy dotopen. From this he spearheads advice and help to the world of mobile start-ups. I should say – not only mobile but primarily.
I have been really impressed by a couple of brands social media strategies and when Rudy mentioned that he was behind the campaign – somehow it all fit together.
But what I should say, Rudy is also a charmer. He told me just before dinner that I did a great job as a moderator at the Mobile 2.0 Event in London and my knowledge and experience really showed. Now, we all know bloggers have ego and that put me in such as good mood – I even paid for dinner!
No seriously. If you are a start-up or need social media strategy –talk to Rudy. I don’t want to make this sound like a plug for him but I am finding it hard to write anything but good about him.. so I better stop there!
