Dinner with the Chairman of Mobile Aware Paul Strzelecki
Rating: the way to do it
by Bena Roberts
Last night I had dinner with Paul Strzelecki. Paul Strzelecki is a man with many hats. He is a strategic advisor to a number of companies and is also the Chairman of I recently interviewed Mobile Aware and Paul wanted to add some additional comments on the company and enforce that rendering was only a small part of Mobile Aware’s value proposition.
The true value is in capturing and succeeding in the enterprise mobility market. This is extremely interesting and enterprise mobility is integral to mobile but so far applications and services apart from email haven’t prominently emerged. We spoke at depth about the potential of enterprise mobility in the market and the strategic role that Mobile Aware could and would play.
It was extremely interesting as I am primarily focused on consumer services and search or advertising but; I saw the bigger picture of what and how services and applications could lead to new areas of growth.
I asked Paul how he described himself in the market and he called himself a business architect. I didn’t need to ask him what that meant because he demonstrated it to me. We turned up at the exclusive and trendy Gaucho in central London at 8pm without a reservation and the placed was packed. We were told that there were no tables, but we could wait in the bar. Paul called for the sommelier. The sommelier asked us three different questions about the type of wine we liked and then guided us, to what I can only describe, as the best bottle of red wine I have ever drunk in my entire life.
Then he spoke briefly to the waitress and I am not sure what he said or how he managed it but we suddenly were guided upstairs to one of the best tables in the restaurant. Amazing. I have to be honest I felt a bit like a princess. There is nothing better than a good steak and the food was amazing.
But anyway, back to the point. Paul is a great guy, very charming, down to earth and he is also introducing me to several new companies in the mobile search space. I should also be meeting Mobile Aware again next week and the company is definitely on my “one to watch” list.
