. Jumptap mobile advertising problems?

Does the JumpTap mobile advertising platform have a very late millennium bug?

This is very strange. Yesterday I got an email from JumpTap saying

Dear Bena Roberts:

This message is being sent to notify you that your JumpTap PayPerClick account has reached the daily budget cap you have set. As a result, all of your ads have been taken offline, and will not resume until tomorrow. To restore your campaigns to active status, please log in to your account, click on the “Billing” tab and increase the amount for ‘Daily Cap.’ If you want your campaigns to start running right away, you will have to enable them on the Manage Campaigns screen; otherwise, they will be reenabled by the system tomorrow.

Daily cap: $ 7.40
Remaining funds: $ 28.90

Thank you for advertising with JumpTap.

What happened?
Well, I was very confused because I haven’t advertised on JumpTap  for over a year and I thought that the existing platform had been replaced by TapMatch?

So, I tried to remember by password and get back into the account. I got the following password hint.

Dear Bena:

Your password hint is: br2to12-1

Now, I have to be honest. I can’t remember setting up this hint and I tried every imaginable code to hack the above and failed. So I emailed ad-support at JumpTap for some help.

I didn’t get a response but this morning I got this:

Dear Bena Roberts:

Daily cap: $ 8.10
Remaining funds: $ 7.20

What we think?
Now. There must be some kind of bug here. As the first email said I had daily cap of USD 7.40 and over USD 28 remaining. The second said I had USD 8.10 daily budget and remaining funds of USD 7.20.

I haven’t put any money on this account and I am not sure what is going on here –but there is not good. Now, my only fear is that the test I ran on JumpTap was for GoMo News when it was a typepad blog and awfully named “pushing the barrier”. I really don’t want anyone seeing those ads if they are running again.

I am not sure why I have this after having not used the service for nearly two years. If I was a brand and a campaign had finished or a site had been replaced but the ads started again after 18 months - I would worry. I mean it doesn’t look good for the brand for an ad to go to an empty link.  Or maybe this is just an issue with the email server?  Who knows?

Wait - even the data is wrong “Sun 4th July”  maybe its SPAM?  Maybe someone is spamming Jumptap to get my details???? SHRIEK - I hope not!

I will email the support again this time directly from the website and see if we get a response.
