DOTMOB Go Scam!
Rating: $$$ $$$ $$$
The Open Mobile Alliance has announced a new initiative to help registrars, resellers and businesses develop WAP sites.
Many of us are aware of how the mTLD misled and lied about their new TLD. These .mobi lies still persist.
Just last week mpals.mobi launched and in the prweb.com PR it claimed that they were the first and only MSNS.
http://mediaserver.prweb.com/pdfdownload/501057/pr.pdf
This reminds me how .mobi STILL claims to be the first and only mobile TLD.
.mobi will always have a money grabbing image.
Myself and others will never link/visit/support a .mobi wapsite to help fuel largest scam on the net.
If you have big plans for your .mobi domains you should seriously consider an alternate TLD.
Will any marketing help clean up the their image? No.

“Myself and others” Who and how many do you speak for?
Comment made on February 19th, 2007 at 9:35 amYour claims are baseless and ridiculous. Why all the pent up hate and frustration? I personally look forward to a mobile domain such as .Mobi and believe it will be very successful as it provides the answers for the small screen in a big way, something that any other extension and .com in particular does not and will not. Also mobile browsers such as Opera Mini do not give the complete answer.
I really cannot understand some individuals such as yourself raging on about .Mobi being a money-grabbing extension. I guess Opera and other initiatives are philantrophic in nature.
Tobi, you’ll be using .mobi in the future whether you like it or not. Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson, and friends (all of whom are financially backing .mobi) will make sure you do.
