CEO Simon Hunt must be bored again
Here at GoMo News we take our role as the font of all knowledge about the mobile advertising industry very seriously indeed. So when we come across a company which is very obviously a sham and fraudulent, then we expose it. Which is exactly what happened with Dreameye Media, currently an Australian based company. We’ve written numerous stories about Dreameye warning readers not to have dealings with this entity. A good example is here … ‘Mysterious Dreameye finally lifts its skirt‘. If you visit the company’s web site, you would expect to find up-to-date content. Especially as Dreameye is supposed to be a ‘media’ company.
Instead, you will find that out of the company’s four so-called ‘news’ items, three of them are attacks on GoMo News.
And they all date from February 2013. Content? Obviously Dreameye hasn’t heard of it.
GoMo News actually complained to the Australian Press Council about Simon Hunt/Dreameye Media back in February .
This was the response … “We acknowledge receipt of your email however regret to advise that we are unable to assist you due to the website to which you refer not being a member of ours. Furthermore, it is not based in Australia.”
The email was signed by Alicia Sammy, complaints and communications officer with the Australian Press Council.
Eh? The web site in question’s address (www.dreameyemedia.com.au) ends with ‘au’ which is a bit of a clue and we are hardly not surprised that Mr Hunt isn’t a “member”.
Mr Hunt has now taken to posting comments on our Facebook page using the name ‘Eurgean Hunt’. We’ve complained to Facebook, naturally.
There’s not a scrap of information about this person (Eurgean) on his or her Facebook page. Is it an anagram?
We’ve also formally complained to PRLOG which put out the defamatory Press release about GoMo News on behalf of Dreameye Media back in February 2013.
That company is based in Arizona, USA incidentally.
This was the company’s reply … ” Thanks for your input. We’ll review the press release and take appropriate action. Your ticket ID is “516df3e3″.
We look forward to hearing from PRLOG. They will probably ask if we know how to get hold of Mr Hunt, though! He probably hasn’t paid the bill for that Press release yet.
*UPDATE: As of September 26th, PRlog pulled the Dreameye press release from its own site. Hunt – who tried to post comments on our Facebook page as Simin Hunt as well as Eurgean Hunt, continues to rage at us. Now claiming he has a major deal with a carrier. See comment to the original story on Dreameye here.
