According to Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, heard of them?? - Start-up maybe - Web 2.0 is "a marketing term" reports readwriteweb.com. Usefully though Eric Schmidt expands on this. Where as Web 2.0 was essentially Ajax Web 3.0 will be "applications that are pieced together". These applications will be relatively small, customizable multi platform - mobile and PC and be distributed virally by social networks and email. He expects this market to be very very large and will break the traditional application retail model. Schmidt was replying to a question what was his definition of Web 3.0 at the Seoul Digital Forum.

What we think.

I really like the idea of a multi platform applications, that are fast to market, can be quickly customised and work by being virally pushed. It should allow some niche applications and some intresting marketing concepts.  Expect to see a lot of Widgets coming to a handset soon, me personally..I’m on Web 4.1.6.3.4.2 you’re going to love it.
