by Tony Alton

Speaking at today’s Mobile Entertainment Live John Zehr, VP of digital video & Mobile at ESPN, admitted that the company’s MVNO was a ‘fly-out’.  For those of us not familiar with baseball analogies this loosely translates as ‘rubbish’ or ‘a bit of a mistake’.  He added that the ill-fated concept fell apart because consumers find it unnatural to get a bill from a content provider and there were ‘no plans to do it again any time in the near future’.
