Rating: Announces new platform in partnership with Transatel
In a bid to capture more of the fast-growing M2M (machine-to-machine) market in the UK, Everything Everywhere (EE) (formed from T-Mobile UK and Orange UK) has launched a new M2M Management Platform. Actually, it’s a propriety M2M platform developed in partnership with Transatel. The platform has been designed to enable business customers to securely manage their accounts and connections wherever they are. In order to deliver the physical M2M solutions themselves. Everything Everywhere has also forged a new alliance with Redtail Telematics (which in turn has a partnership with Plextek). The UK operator is also keen to find developers who want to build M2M solutions. As Orange, Everything Everywhere had, in fact, being using Transatel as its mobile virtual network aggregator (MVNA) in the UK since 2007.
We are expanding into new markets and innovative areas of service that will help companies to transform their business through mobility, “commented Marc Overton, vp for wholesale and M2M with EE.
He added, “We are actively seeking other expert partners around the world to help us to achieve Everything Everywhere’s ambition to provide customers with instant access to data wherever they are.”
The Everything Everywhere M2M Management Platform provides a self-service portal for customers to quickly and securely access and manage all their account information, with complete control over their SIM accounts.
The web portal provides access to such things as: – onnection profiles; tariffs; call detail records – including SMS and GPRS calls; and direct ordering of SIM cards via the platform
This next phase will be the release of the API to allow customers to integrate M2M operations into existing CRM systems and other business applications.
EE is seeking to encourage the developer community by providing free SIM cards loaded with credit for testing, and providing access to Everything Everywhere labs.
Developers interested in partnering with Everything Everywhere to develop M2M solutions should email John Ross here.
