GenMobi is set to launch Buzz MSP (Mobile Search Platform) at 3GSM.

Buzz is a mobile search engine with a twist as it is targeted for the youth market. Basically, two Buzz community networks are created via the Buzz MSP. So it’s a mobile portal powered search community for today’s youth.

The first is Buzz Kids for the 8 to 12 year old market. These kids will be able to surf on and within the Buzz platform safely. The mobile search calls itself Bullet Proof meaning the bullies or perverts will not be able to target children. Content will also be tailored by age group and category.

BuzzTeenz is for the 13 to 17 year old market. The Buzz community will then target this specific market segment and all searched criteria will be for this market.

For example there will be:
IM (instant messaging) in several different languages,
Shout Out ringtones
Parental controls
Language blocking.

Parental controls and “safety” has been a hot and cold topic on mobile. Alarm bells were ringing but the dreaded virus or Law suit about parental controls and kids safety didn’t happen. Despite that this new Buzz service sounds interesting. It’s a mobile search, mobile portal and safety net all rolled up into one.
Even its security services have a youth flavor as it calls its technology CQR which is pronounced secure. Buzz will be at 3GSM – we will meet them. But services won’t be launched until Q2 2007.

Analysis of this new service will be made available as usual in the Mobile Search Analyst.
