Facebook application now available on Nokia Ovi store
Facebook has unleashed its Symbian application over it’s Ovi content store. The app is free to download, so long as you have a phone that can run it. And the only phone’s that can run it are touch-screen S60 devices
Thanks to IntoMobile for spotting this one. It’s an interesting way for Facebook to release this app. Not only have they severely limited the number of devices it can run on, but it also requires a constant web-connection to run. Since the app has been designed to pretty much be identical to the on-line Facebook experience, you’ll be able to access data-heavy pics, videos and other multimedia. So make sure you’re either at a WiFi spot, or that you’ve got a good data plan - otherwise your joy at it being a free app will quickly turn into “oh my God, what has happened to all my money?”
