RTB for contextual, ‘hyper local’ targeted offers
To date mobile in-app ads and offers have been accused of lacking relevancy as well as being disruptive for the consumer. However, Far EasTone – the leading Taiwan mobile telecom operator, reckons it has cracked this particular nut by introducing FET SoLoMo. This product is powered by Sirqul‘s mobile Engagement as a Service (EaaS) platform. The pair claim FET SoLoMo will enables real time bidding (RTB) for contextual, ‘hyper local’ targeted offers. The aim is to enable retailers to reach millions of mobile consumers with a more relevant experience whilst also allowing app developers to monetize with native game through play ads. Sirqul has also announced a tie up with Anomaly which describes itself as a ‘new model agency’.
FET will be the first Asian MNO (Mobile Network Operator) to offer this SoLoMo (social-local-mobile) platform to developers, merchants, brands and retailers.
Charlene Hung, an executive for Internet & Commerce with Far EasTone, commented, “We are thrilled to be the first mobile operator in Taiwan to offer an integrated social, local and mobile commerce platform and with a mission to monetize more screens and devices then any other telecom in Taiwan with this new platform.”
“The mobile advertising future is about adding value as an intuitive utility to the mobile consumer experience while incorporating all the right triggers, incentives and rewards of achievements,” said David Liu, COO, Sirqul.
Sirqul’s Engagement as a Service [EaaS] platform has three main components: -
- Sirqul App Development Platform – a suite of APIs for feature rich, multi-OS rapid app development including non-invasive ad units that monetize via engagements such as missions, offers, deals and branded game levels. Reaching mobile users when they’re most engaged and receptive to advertising enables developers to now monetise beyond pennies to dollars because consumers are more receptive to ads that feel native to the app or game experience
- Sirqul Retailer Platform – an advertiser’s portal enabling merchants, brands and retailers to advertise relevant hyper-local deals, offers and products on third-party apps utilizing interactive, native game play ads
- Sirqul Ad Serving and RTB Platform – a contextually relevant ad server targeting by demographics, app, content, behavior, and location data to automatically display the ads that are the most relevant for each consumer
