Fastsearch wins MTS contract
Rating: idle screen search gave it the edge
It shouldn’t really come as surprise that Mobile TeleSystems of Russia signed an agreement to deploy Fast’s white label search solution. Its biggest rival Vimpelcom already offers idle sceen search powered by Celltick.
Russian consumers are educated about the idle screen and MTS wants to fight back with its own high powered idle screen or as Fast’s Mike Brady likes to describe it “zero click” service which is currently one of Fast Search’s strong points.
In Australia Optus has driven data uptake and ARPU with Fast’s platform and no doubt MTS has similar ambitions. The 3G My Zoo services have been popular and they are certainly extremely innovative changing colour with clicks and offering day or night time menu options.
The press release on this new win is still being created but here is some information from Fast’s Julie Ginches.
