Fly Mobile who?

Rating: fly man, fly

I have to admit I had previously never heard of Fly Mobile so when I saw the Telecom Paper heading Vodafone offers Fly Mobile Device in Woolworths I was a bit taken aback.

But after 30 minutes on the corporate website – FLY Mobile is indeed a British based mobile manufacturer (so well done, Fly… lets get the Union Jack). Joking aside GoMo News is delighted that Fly Mobile is British and has three devices with three mobile operators.

The first is with Virgin Mobile (SL500i) and is available in Argos. The second supports video and is available in all Orange shops (TR1). The third announced today is set to retail for GBP 59.99 in Woolworths shops with Vodafone and supports FM Radio.

We are excited the company is British but alarm bells are ringing about battery life as the Virgin Mobile Kyocera device which we purchased in the US looked great but then the battery emptied after every third call. This is the problem with new devices battery life always is a huge issue.
