Global Mobile Awards Dinner
So, I was in the lift of the Condes Hotel in Barcelona and I asked the man next to me if he had had a good day.
To my surprise this was Jeremy Cowan founder of Vanilla Plus and Stream – (where I provided copy last year).
It was quite funny really and then a few hours later we met in the lobby to go to the Awards together.
Jeremy looked after me and gave me his arm as I battled lots of stairs and I must say looked dashing in his tux – so thank-you very much.
GoMo News was plastered all over the Global Mobile Awards. Thank-you to the GSMA for making it happen and Kevin Taylor for introducing me to the GSMA initially. I am over the moon! It was the old logo (my fault) but it was brilliant. I felt very proud!
I know I am reflecting but in one year with GoMo News we have grown so much and gone from a tiny to credible – which really shows how blogging is changing the face of the media.
Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 won the group that I judged but there were some other very good entrants as well. I think there were about 45 in this particular category many of whom I know and I think that the choice was interesting but at the end of the day – the brand had the best use case.
I took videos of all the winners that I will blog. Thank-you JuiceCaster for providing me with an Nokia N95 and the client. Unfortunately, I can upload the videos – I need some help but get ready for that in the next few days.
I think that I saved the content outside of the Juice client and I am not sure how to put it in there – but I will get this fixed and the videos up.
OMG, our blogger Tony Dennis also looked great in a tuxedo and I might have to blackmail him with a picture!
The dinner was lovely and I gate crashed the Google party afterwards in MOMA - but that is another story!
