GMT (Global Mobile Technologies) has announced that it is filing patents for real-time delivery of rich, user-requested content with interactive advertising to mobile phones. Push-it enables Internet advertising to be translated into a mobile-ready format with “click through” capabilities.

So basically the same rich ad online can be pushed to mobile. Which means advertising on mobile can get funkier with image, music, video ads etc.

From the press release:
“Push-It solves the problem of delivering rich, interactive advertising to any mobile device, while allowing content owners to maintain control over the look and feel of messaging,” said Jeff Harrison, CEO of Global Mobile Technologies. “We are introducing another dimension and value to the previously limited reach of mobile phone marketing.”
What we think
With Flash and Ajax won’t this be increasing possible as we move towards a mobile ready environment?
