Verizon Wireless and added go2 as a link on the Verizon Mobile Web 2.0 menu. This means that in the portal menu there will now be a link that takes users to the go2 local search directory.
Go2?
A good few months ago, I joked openly about Go2 as the market wasn’t ready for mobile search. But I swallow my words after actually testing the services. Go2 provides local search and directory services and is committed to pushing the demand and growth of localized information (GPS/ LBS search mixed with local search). I have never been a huge fan of local search; but at least these services worked for me and last time I was in the US.
From the press release“go2 Media is delighted to extend its reach to include this new presence on Verizon Wireless’ Mobile Web menu page and to provide Verizon Wireless subscribers with easy access to go2’s customized local content to find what they want, when and where they want it,” said Rob Adler, CEO of go2 Media. “We are happy to provide Verizon Wireless’ customer base with every day local search and rich information at their fingertips.”
