Tuesday 13th December, London – Digital sports media company, PERFORM, today announced that it is working with Nokia and Microsoft to launch the PERFORM-owned Goal.com football website, as an application across both Windows Phone and Symbian-powered smartphones.
Goal.com is the world’s largest football website attracting 21.6 million users online* and an additional 48 million page views across mobile**. The deal will see bespoke applications created and optimised for both operating systems, featuring video, live scores, match details, results, news and imagery for all major global club and international football tournaments and leagues.
The Goal application – which will be free to users of Nokia Store and Microsoft’s Marketplace – will come in 13 different language editions including English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Indonesian, Turkish, Korean, Chinese and Arabic.
As part of the partnership, the app will be promoted globally in both Nokia Store and Microsoft Marketplace, whilst PERFORM will represent the advertising sales across the applications.
