Gofresh, the German based mobile social networking specialist, is launching what it describes as the first all-in-one mobile web platform combining the three hottest topics on the mobile market: mobile social networking, mobile web advertising and mobile user generated content.

The downside comes in the next sentence: Gofresh’s proprietary mobile web platform, supporting more than 2,800 different handsets and browser variations, offers operators, brands, portals as well as the advertising industry the key features of the mobile Internet on one platform.

Yes, one of the problems with current messaging standards, such as IMPS, is that they just don’t go beyond integrating different operators’ IM platforms, which means solutions that take integration further, for instance, allowing consumers to combine their address books from several different portals, for instance, have to be proprietary, which hinders uptake.

Still, at least someone has the brains to get help communities move into mobile, which is something, and incorporates a very important element, mobile advertising and marketing to help subsidise the cost of interaction with those portals as well as attract people to them.
