Samsung has been promising to at least three Android devices this year – and we’re now getting a look at another one of them. Details from the upcoming “Bigfoot” device were apparently leaked today.
This comes thanks to Boy Genius Report, from one of their camo-stealth-suit wearing phoneninjas.
It looks like Samsung has gone a very different route from their previously announced Android device, the i7500. The slide-out full QWERTY keyboard makes this closer in function to the G1 than, say, an Omnia. The leak claims it will have high-speed UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 3MP camera and an AMOLED touch screen.
What we think?
Looks nice – I particularly like the big, friendly keys. BGR claims we can expect to see this “real soon”. I’m just highly amused that the thing is called a “Bigfoot”. This isn’t the first elusive Bigfoot that we’ve been treated to a slightly blurry photograph of. Let’s just hope it proves more real than its namesake! I also wonder if this was the source of those rumours about a QWERTY slide-out version of the Omnia that were circulating a while back.
