We here at Gomo have followed the AP story with interest. As eagle eyed readers will have noticed we always try to use They Say and We Say as well as “In the Press Release” where appropriate. It makes it obvious to you, our readers the source of our story. Also we link back to the story where applicable. We take pride in the fact that we credit the sources in the best traditions of Blogging. The heavy handed approach by the AP and their subsequent positioning is questioning our and other Bloggers integrity. It is our intention to follow the example of others and cease to report AP press releases and/or link to the AP. We would ask you to contact your PR agencies and PR departments and ask them to avoid the AP as well. They can submit press releases to us via email or via the link on the home page.
Hopefully the AP will realise they do not rule the Internet or the news and then we will be happy to report their stories and give them the link backs they deserve.
