We threw a GoMo News Blender at CTIA in San Diego tonight, kindly assisted by Jeb Brilliantof A Brilliant Blog. We had drinks and (extremely inappropriate) chat with representatives from mobile manufacturers, developers, operating systems and bloggers!
Chanse Arrington and Joe Gallo, two of the biggest Twitterers from Nokia showed up and proved that Americans can drink at least as well as Irish guys. Patrick Neighorn, representing Microsoft, showed off the Toshiba TG01… and it is a BEAUTIFUL device.
I also had a great chat with Fergus Hurley, CEO of Clixtr, who showed me the app his company is releasing. It’s a pretty cool iPhone app (with further devices planned) that specifically aims for Social Photographs – the idea that you should be able to create a temporary, easily accessible photo stream that automatically uploads photos AS THEY’RE TAKEN, instead of after the event. I’ll be following Clixtr up with an interview in the coming weeks, so watch this space.
