GoMo News Blog Awards Update

OK, OK. We didn’t win. The gutting thing is that we lost out to Shiny Shiny – a blog for girls. This is ironic since Annie and I are girls writing blogs for boys. In fact our readership is 80% male.

But we have been REALLY slated over our blog design and I am pleased to announce we are going to have a face lift. Designers please contact us.

But despite this. GoMo News was created on a budget of GBP 200 it was launched on January 7th 2007 and it really is a blog for business rather than a blog for consumers. We are delighted that we managed to make it on the shortlist.

We have 22.5% of regular readers coming back every day and we get a lot of comments (some I can’t post). The most active readership is in London, Paris, Seattle, San Diego, Boston and Dublin.
Our readership is comprised of 10% VC; 30% CEO and similar; 20% mobile operators; 40% vendors in the mobile search, advertising, user generated, social media space.

It is still early days for us but we are happy to be here.
