GoMo News Code of Conduct

by: Bena Roberts Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

I feel that I should write this as I have been accused of bias in twice in the past week.  This is strange as anyone that reads GoMo – even people that sponsor me – know that we state: “we do not have a disclaimer for sponsors and we write up the news as it is”.

1. Anyone can sponsor GoMo News

2. If one of my employees gets all gung ho and writes something that I do not agree with – I will edit it. I am the boss and that is the way it is.

3. I can’t stand people or bloggers that use blogging just to be bitchy or vent anger – that is so 2005 and this is a business to business blog.

4. If you are not a business person or professional then don’t read GoMo.

5. I try to be fair.

6. I do not have any shares in any mobile search, barcode or advertising companies.

7. I do not favour any company in-particular.

8. BUT: I do respect intelligence.

9. NO: If you are intelligent, not bullish. If your brains are so big that my mouth drops when I speak to you – then you know what – I might write a nice post.

10. Intelligence turns on GoMo News – you want to get our or my attention then – be clever.

11. Don’t whine or accuse or go back to high school – be knowledgeable.

12. I love intelligence.

13. OK.  If you don’t like me or you think I am unprofessional – that is fine –please just read something else – there are 75 million blogs out there!

WAIT: Disclaimer – Bena loves really clever people that have wicked ideas and can answer tough questions; she hates people who say, “not sure, can’t answer, will get back to you”.  You want to get on GoMo News – then follow the above rules.
