GoMo News from Mobile Web 2.0 to the Mobile Entertainment Awards
Rating: dad a de de de da….la la la la
During the Informa Web 2.0 event yesterday I got an SMS from Medio Systems Roger Davies asking me if I would like to attend the Mobile Entertainment Awards tonight (last night) since there was a drop out and a free space.
Of course I instantly accepted and looked over at the man sitting next to me Paul Goode from M:Metrics. He was also holding an invitation and we both decided to head to the pre-show party together.
It was a lovely afternoon and Paul suggested we walk to Baker Street station. I said fine, but considering it was warm I had tights on and was carrying two bags – during the walk I started to think – not the best move. But never mind, fun conversation between two analysts began and before you know it there we were at the station.
Then swiftly off to The Barbican.
At the Player X pre-show party I waited for Roger while mingling with hundreds of people that I see regularly and have said “hi” to the same faces that I see regularly on the scene. In fact, its nearly the exact same crowd that attended MEF Awards in May. Off the top of my head I saw the Graeme Ferguson, Dee Gibbs, Balbir Blugen of course the ME guys and Tim Green was surprised but happy to see me. I think he was even more surprised that I actually ended up sitting next to him on the best table at the event in the front row.
Actually, last night I think I felt a bit like a shifty gangster in a Guy Ritchie film….
