Microsoft Tag has been a huge topic and it seems to have sparked new life in to the mobile barcode market. I am over the moon by this!
But last week, I realised that Microsoft Tag still had some hiccupsand the reader didn’t work on my hybrid Nokia N95.
So, Gavin Jancke from Microsoft has created a Bena-Microsoft-Tag reader (his words not mine!) and I am a Beta Tester for this hybrid phone version that does not automatically detect the open Internet settings.
What we think?
1. Trust my phone to be the hybrid one!
2. This is fabulous. I am so excited about being a live Beta tester for Microsoft!
3. I love mobile barcodes and I have my new settings and have given my phone details to Microsoft and a new special reader will be made available for me to download.
4. I will be keeping everyone up to date on how I go and when I am back from travelling – will document downloading the new reader with images.
5. This is great service from Microsoft and I think it shows commitment to the mobile barcode space. Thank-you Gavin and fingers crossed it all works well from now on.
