Google fudges in-application mobile advertising – GoMo News predictions ring true

google

There is a good read over at Ad Age. It explains how Google has teething problems with its AdSense for mobile and what you click on often points to a black hole, an online site, a void or a somewhere wrong.

There is an EXCELLENT read hear with instructions on how to opt out of Google Mobile. GoMo News scooped this in 2007 –but it seems like now it is getting other media attention.

I sent the article to a secret source in one of the major competitors and he responded

It seems Google once again is leveraging their PC ads in mobile with no regard for the new media…

What we think?

I am not sure why people or analysts think they need to defend Google. This is rubbish and shows that regardless of being in BETA Google is no expert in mobile advertising. Just because it is Google does not guarantee success.

This is terrible and if any other player pushed online links on mobile they would be shot and ridiculed. Saying that I don’t believe the bull either – here is an article on the other side of scale.

All I can say is that I am eating everything on mobile advertising (during a recession) with lots of salt, pepper and vinegar.
