Google Maps for Mobile

by: Bena Roberts Thursday, September 18th, 2008

I am a bit late, but I finally checked out Google’s new mobile map features launched last week around CTIA.

  Googledrivingdirections

What did I think?

Nice on the videos.  I am not sure if my version was the upgraded version though as there were two search boxes for the search saying What and Where. Then when I clicked driving directions I got four search boxes. (FOUR SEARCH BOXES IS CRAP - it puts me off from using just looking at it). On top of that I couldn’t find out how to use the my location service. I am sure that I am only supposed to click 0 on my device and I will be found?  But nothing happened?

Anyway - the videos of the service working are awful, annoying but strangely nice to watch.
